How it all began
Pocoyo was created in Spain in 2002 by David Cantolla, Luis Gallego and Guillermo García Carsí. Together, they brought to life a distinctive world built around curiosity, imagination and the joy of discovery.
Simple visuals, expressive characters and physical comedy give Pocoyo a language of his own, one that children around the world can enjoy and relate to.
From the very beginning, Pocoyo stood apart. A world of endless white space, bold colors and expressive characters, where curiosity leads the way and even the simplest moments become extraordinary adventures.
Alongside Pocoyo is his best friend Pato, originally named Ducky, and Elly the loving pink elephant, Loula the loyal dog and Sleepy Bird. More recently, Pocoyo’s little sister Bea joined the adventures.
Pocoyo and his friends are all about having fun, making mistakes and learning from them.
From Spain to the World
From its beginnings in Spain to becoming a global preschool favorite, Pocoyo has captured the hearts of generations of children. With six seasons, billions of views on YouTube and fans around the world, the adventure keeps growing.
That’s 2700 minutes of pure fun, and hey along the way we picked up a few shiny awards like a BAFTA, Pulcinella, Annecy, and a YouTube Diamond.
Today, Guillermo García Carsí continues to contribute to Pocoyo's creative evolution, helping shape new adventures while staying true to the original vision developed alongside David Cantolla and Luis Gallego.
