Back in the days
In 2002, a delightful character named Pocoyo was born, thanks to the imagination of a wonderful Spanish creator named Guillermo García Carsí.
Guillermo dreamed up Pocoyo to be funny, entertaining and someone that children all over the world could relate to.
Since its inception, Pocoyo has maintained a blend of the classic and the modern. The initial approach was to create a classic and minimalist animated series, focusing on universal physical comedy and visual simplicity.
Alongside Pocoyo, Guillermo also created a best friend, originally named Ducky, but now known as Pato. Soon more friends joined the gang, like Elly the loving pink elephant, Loula the loyal dog and even Sleepy Bird.
Pocoyo and his friends are all about having fun, making mistakes and learning from them.
Here and now
Pocoyo’s journey started in Spain, but it quickly spread its joy around the world.
In just 20 years, we’ve had 4 incredible seasons, totalling a whopping 45 hours!
Can you believe it?
That’s 2700 minutes of pure fun and hey, along the way we picked up a few shiny awards like BAFTA, Pulcinella, Annecy or YouTube Diamond.
And the best part?
The creators are committed to making it even better as we grow together.
