Places the cursor over each step to learn more details
1
Color
Print the downloadable template on white construction paper and color in the different professions.
2
Cut Out
Cut out the two parts of the roulette with a pair of scissors. Don’t throw away the leftover paper just yet.
3
Assembly
Join the two parts of the wheel together by gluing one side to the central strip of the other with a glue stick.
4
Paste
Paste the construction paper wheel onto the cardboard with the glue stick.
5
Hole punching
With an awl or ice-pick, carefully punch a hole in the center of the wooden popsicle stick or throat depressor.
6
Layout
Decorate one end of the stick with colored markers so it can serve as a pointer.
7
Attaching
Place the popsicle stick so that the hole you punched lines up with the point at the center of the wheel. Push a ball-top pin through until it enters the cardboard and passes through to the underside.
8
Fold
Turn over the cardboard and fold down the point of the pin with a pair of pliers.
9
Cover
Cut out a 3cm square from the paper leftover from the template and tape it the folded-over pin tip to the cardboard so nobody will get accidently pricked.
Your roulette game is ready! Play “professions” with your family: twirl the rod and then act out the profession it points to. See if they can guess which profession you are performing. Happy Women’s Day!
