1
Fold
Fold one of the scraps of wrapping paper in half so that it measures between 10 and 15 cm wide. Repeat with all the scraps.
2
Cut
Cut an isosceles triangle from the folded paper; making the short side of the triangle coincide with the line of the fold, but not cutting the fold itself. When you unfold the triangle you’ll have a rhomboid (an off-kilter square). Repeat with all the scraps.
3
Assembly
Take one end of the wool, leaving about 10 or 15 cm of margin. Unfold a triangle and put the resulting rhomboid with the colored side of the paper face down on the table. Place the wool cord on the paper along the fold.
4
Gluing
Rub the glue stick over the half of the rhomboid above where the wool is. Now fold the rhomboid over the wool to form a triangle again, gluing together the upper and lower parts so that the wool is trapped between in the fold.
5
Repeat
Repeat steps 3 and 4 with all the triangles, placing one beside the other until the garland is the length you want.
6
Tying
Now make a loop with a knot at each end of the garland so that you can hang it up. Happy New Year!
